My practice is all about YOU, but most people want to know a little about the person who’s going to treat them, so here I am.

• I’m naturally a tad rebellious and I’m insatiably curious.

  • I’m not much for pretense. I’m a Gen X’er (hence the name of my practice) and most enjoy working with patients who are down to earth and accept the fact that healing is a process and it doesn’t move in a nice, upwards diagonal line. Many patients come to me with chronic conditions, and those who understand that they have work to do outside the clinic and that we will be collaborating on getting them better for months are the ones who have the best outcomes.

  • Besides my childhood passion for medicine, I’ve been obsessed with BEAUTY: beauty products, facials, skin care, cosmetics since I was tiny….as in a toddler. I snuck makeup and skincare from literally anywhere I could find it to try on. I dropped out of law school when I was 24 to go to Esthetics school and worked as an esthetician for several years.

    Once I got into acupuncture school I realized I could combine my two passions - beauty and medicine - to treat patients with “cosmetic” acupuncture, micro needling,  and topical herbal medicine and began studying from every teacher I could find. • I go by “Jen”.

• I believe there is ALWAYS A SOLUTION to patients’ problems and I want to find it for them.

• I had acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments fix multiple health problems I had so I sold my house and moved to Austin to study this medicine for 4 years in school and have never stopped studying.

• I am currently a full-time staff acupuncturist at Salisbury VA Hospital.

I do get great results but no acupuncturist is magic.  Great results come through 3 things:

• being a good match for each other

• following a consistent treatment plan, and

• making suggested self-care changes.


I spent much of my life working in Western Medicine clinics and am happy to help explain things your doctor has told you, and to collaborate with your physician.  Western medicine and East Asian Medicine each have their place and it doesn't have to be one or the other.  I am a licensed medical professional and seek to build the bridge between the two by treating the whole person. I work hard to try to be the one of the best acupuncturists in the Charlotte Metropolitan area.
