Why do services like cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling cost more?
I want there to be some transparency about pricing, so I need to let you know what actually goes into providing a service like microneedling or real facial rejuvenation cosmetic acupuncture. What makes it more expensive for me to provide and for you to purchase?
Materials:
For a single microneedling treatment, the needle head and the nano head are about $20. The numbing cream costs about $5 each treatment. The advanced serums I use and customize plus the vegan hyaluronic acid costs about $60 a treatment. All other materials such as disposable headbands, sheets, calming spray, highest quality Seirin needles for the body acupuncture, alcohol, cotton, face wipes for cleansing, gloves, rent, etc……you get the picture. (And don’t forget the microneedling machine was about $4,000)
For facial acupuncture, a wide variety of specialized needles are required, plus the Celluma Pro light ($1,400), plus specialized cupping and gua sha tools, oils, disposable headbands, alcohol, cotton, arnica gel, arnica tablets,
Time
While the microneedling treatment itself goes fairly quickly, numbing time takes 20 minutes, plus the time cleansing the skin thoroughly after the numbing.
In cosmetic acupuncture, placing the facial needles is a time-consuming task——one that I absolutely LOVE doing, but it takes time and a lot of work! Then there’s time resting with the needles in and the time to take each needle out sllllowwwly and apply pressure to each point, to avoid bruising if at all possible.
